The acoustic design at the Qubus Hotel shows that hotel interior design does not have to be based on a conservative colour palette. There is room for bold colours and aesthetic energy in hotel spaces.

When designing the rooms at the Qubus Hotel in Wrocław, the architects chose Fovere acoustic felt in Peach, treating it as a full-fledged element of the interior composition – not as a background, but as an accent that builds the character of the space.
The felt used behind the headboards serves both an aesthetic and acoustic function, improving the comfort of the room without interfering with its visual lightness. The peach colour warms up the interior and creates a coherent relationship with the upholstered headboard, light wood and soft, indirect lighting.

A key element of the design is the individually developed V-cut pattern. The felt has been cut in a triangular rhythm, which creates an elegant corduroy effect, organising the wall surface and giving it architectural depth. The vertical structure enhances the impression of height in the interior and works subtly with the light.
This project demonstrates the potential of acoustic felt as a design material: flexible, customisable and capable of precisely matching the architectural concept in terms of form, colour and performance parameters.
